Transcendental Meditation and mental illness.

Wednesday November 4th, 2009.

Sebastien, my beloved son,

one of the reasons that I like to live in South Beach, Sebastien, is because there are so many mentally ill people living here. I am not kidding. I think the ocean draws them here.

No matter how crazy I think I am, I can just take a stroll in South Beach, and find people all around me completely crazier than me. Now THAT is a nice feeling.

I just walked to Walgreens for 10 minutes, and I saw all kinds of mental illness around me.

To me, mentally ill people are more interesting than so-called "normal" people, mostly because mentally ill people usually don't know any better than to tell the truth.

Compare that with those parasites from Wall Street's Goldman Sachs, who lost money in ONLY 1 DAY OUT OF 66 DAYS OF TRADING IN THE MARKETS THIS PAST QUARTER. That's not "doing business". That's CHEATING.

I wrote about what an arrogant clown AIG Chief Executive Officer His Royal Excellency Robert Benmosche is.

Back on topic: after my errands at Walgreens, I came back to my room. My neighbor, Eddy, the Vietnam war veteran, grabbed me once again, and gave me a miniature TV that he wants me to fix. I'm almost afraid to walk out of my room nowadays, because everytime I walk by Eddy's room, he either has a watch, a radio or a TV that he wants me to fix.

So tonight I looked at him and I said "So you want me to use my incredible genius and fix this TV for you?" And Eddy said "yes". Now, there is a man who knows genius when he sees it. Good for you Eddy.

The mentally ill people are my brothers and sisters. We are all brothers and sisters.

Transcendental Meditation needs to be available for mentally ill people, which it is right now and it needs to remain this way, to the same extent that it is available to mentally "healthy" people.

What good would Transcendental Meditation be if it were only available to rich people who have never had any mental illness in their past?

I am saying this: if you are an alcoholic, a drug addict, a prison inmate, a rapist, or even worse, God forbid, a parasite on Wall Street, learn Transcendental Meditation. TM is the way to HEAL.

Today I received an email from the TM movement, promoting Light Therapy using Gems, for the low cost of $140/hour. And 3 sessions are definitely "recommended for optimum results".

I'm not making a judgment on whether Light Therapy using Gems works or not, I simply don't know. I'm just saying this: "If you can afford $140/hour to solve your problems, you're not the people that we need to be concerned with, right at this moment with the economy the way it is".

There are families in America that are hurting, right now. Husbands and wives that are hurting, because there simply is not enough money to put food on the table. And guess what? Those people have children. And their children are hurting.

So again. I know the value of Transcendental Meditation in my life. I know how much TM has helped me. I'm simply saying that Light Therapy using Gems at $140/hour is a service for the rich. Pure and simple. The same way that Maharishi Ayurveda Products International's Rejuvenation massage oil for men, at $30 for a 4-ounce bottle, is for the rich.

I bought a bottle once, from the MAPI store in Fairfield, Iowa. $30 for 4 ounces. When I do a self-massage, I use at least 2 ounces. I used half the bottle on my first massage. That's $15 per self-massage. Who can afford this?

Not something that the common people in America today, the average Joe, can afford. Certainly nothing that my friends in Fairfield, Iowa, could afford. So who is this for?

As a result, I tend to get my massage oil here. It is high quality oil and I can actually afford the stuff.

One final point before I head for my stress-relieving Epsom salt bath: Let's talk about the world's most powerful anti-oxidant, Maharishi Amrit Kalash, which I discuss on my brief page on Ayurveda.

You can either buy Maharishi Amrit Kalash for less than $70 U.S. as of this writing from Madanapalas in India, or you can pay around $110 U.S. as of this writing by buying it from Maharishi Ayurveda Products International in the U.S.

I have a child to support. Call me crazy, but when it comes to an identical product being sold by two different sources, I'm choosing the lower price of the two.
