Fairfield Iowa the Beautiful, Children, and Mother Nature.

April 13, 2009

If God has eyes, She cries when She sees how Her children treat each other sometimes.

The way people treat each other tends to vary depending on how fulfilled people feel in their lives. When we are happy, fulfilled, when we have abundance in our lives, it's easy to be nice to those around us.

But when times are rough, as I believe they will increasingly become in the not distant future, it becomes more difficult for people to behave at their best.

I want to express how grateful I am for living in Fairfield, Iowa.

Here is a 4-minute video of what my son and his little sister did this Easter weekend with their mother. My son's mother and I have been divorced for 9 years, but I would say that we are moderately successful at co-parenting my son and his little sister.

We live less than a mile from each other. Our getting-along benefits the children, and it benefits us, so why not? Everybody wins. That's what Mother Nature wants. It pleases Her when Her children get along and help each other.

[I had to remove this video, because my ex-wife is berry, berry MAD AT ME. :( ]

[If you like James Blunt's music, I encourage you to buy it]. I own this CD.

We feel very lucky to live in Fairfield, Iowa. And therefore I must beg you, dear reader: Please do not even consider moving to Fairfield, Iowa, a town with barely about 9,000 population.

You see, here in Fairfield Iowa, we are very selfish people. We want to be the only ones enjoying the tranquility and bliss of our small town, our Golden Domes, Maharishi University of Management, our Nature Trails, Waterworks Park, our Maharishi Vedic Greenhouse, our world-famous A.J.'s Bike Shop.

So please DO NOT move here. We like our small Iowa town the way it is. What will happen to our cozy little town if people across America decide to look into Transcendental Meditation, and if many enlightened people across the U.S. start realizing that big cities will not be the best place to be during the coming economic hard(er) times?

As bad as things will get in Big City America, and as much compassion as we have for those unfortunate souls who live in large crowded stressful cities, we implore you NOT to see the light and move here.

And don't move here SOON.
